The L.A. Dodgers are one of the most famous baseball teams in America. Over the 2008 season the 56,000 seat Dodger Stadium hosted 3.7 million fans. To mark its 50th anniversary, officials planned to improve facilities for both the fans and the environment.

"We brought in energy-saving fixtures for our field-level washrooms; including waterless urinals and automatic lights. We also wanted a similar alternative for our paper towels – they're expensive and contribute to landfill," comments Lon Rosenberg, Vice President of Stadium Operations. "By installing the Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer we're sending 65% less paper waste to landfill. They easily cope with high traffic washrooms and use less energy than other hand dryers," he adds.

In 2003 the Dodger Stadium was named best in baseball by Major League players. It remains one of American sport's most important landmarks, with the latest refurbishments attracting future visitors. "It was important that the renovations impressed our fans," explains Lon. "We've had an excellent response to the Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer, with people actually writing in to tell us they enjoyed using it."
